The Assembly was held on 11th March 2008. the premises of the Zagreb Fair, with
the presence of
members and guests. After the welcome words of Vice
President of the Assembly Dragutin Špiljak and director of the Zagreb Fair Katja
Luka Kovacic, present and addressed the new President of the Governing Council,
Bosko Matkovic, director of Zagreb Airport. On behalf of the
Governing Council, Mirjana Matesic, Director-HR BCSD and presented Report between the two
sessions. At the end of the session the new members, Banco Popolare Croatia, IGM
šljunčara Trstenik and Kamen Sirač , received the Charter membership of HR BCSD.

HR PSOR was co-organizer of the conference on
socially responsible business, "Integrating strategic management and CSR"
organized by the media house Business.hr, UNDP and the Global Compact which was
held 17th December at the Hotel Sheraton in Zagreb.
The main objective of the
conference to connect two major challenges facing the modern enterprise:

How to maintain and improve competitiveness
- How to answer on ethical,
social and environmental needs of society

Index of CSR awards granted to the best |

As was announced at a press conference held in
November, HR PSOR in cooperation with the CCC, with the support of the UNDP
office in Croatia and AED, started a project called the Index of CSR, which aims
to evaluation of voluntary CSR practices of Croatian companies. The methodology,
given the global models, developed by local experts, and includes criteria in
six main areas: economic sustainability, inclusion of corporate social
responsibility in business strategy, working environment, environmental
protection, market relations and relations with the community. During the past
few weeks, Croatian companies were invited to fill in the form of questionnaires
and thus participate in the project.
At the closing ceremony was presented
the methodology and the prizes awarded to the most successful. In addition to
granting awards, held a panel discussion on "Corporate Social Responsibility in

Presentation specialist work Mirjana
Matesic, Director HR PSOR was held on Friday, the 12th December in the presence
of 30-odd participants. Subject specialist work proved to be very current and is
open to constructive discussion that resulted in a series of proposals to
encourage the implementation of CSR in the economy.

of the future review. This publication is intended primarily to politicians and
businessmen, then Staff, students, and all others interested in the fate of the
