Circular Economy Reporting in Focus: The Draft Simplified ESRS E5

The session will introduce the simplified ESRS E5 on Resource Use and Circular Economy and situate it within the broader regulatory and sustainability reporting landscape. It will outline the role of ESRS E5 and reflect on key lessons learned from the first year of its application.  The presentation will highlight key changes at both the overall standard and individual disclosure-requirement levels. It will also address interoperability with other circular economy standards.  The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers.

Dr. Liad Ortar is a leading ESG and sustainability expert with over two decades of experience across consulting, advocacy, academia, and policy development. As Senior Technical Manager at EFRAG, he spearheads the work around the E5 reporting standard for Resource Use and Circular Economy, engaging with global organizations such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), UNEP Finance Initiative, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
