JOSIANNE GALEA BARON - Speaker at the 14th Conference on Sustainable Development, 4th to 5th October 2022

Josianne Galea Baron is part of UNICEF’s Business Engagement and Child Rights team, within Programme Group Leadership Team, which leads UNICEF’s engagement around responsible business conduct in relation to children’s rights.

In this role, Josianne is the technical lead on how companies in the technology sector can take action to respect and support children’s rights throughout their activities. This includes developing tools and guidance for businesses in different industries, from online gaming to mobile network operators. Prior to joining the team, Josianne led the digital agenda within the children’s rights and business unit at UNICEF’s national committee in the UK. She has a master’s in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
