Sigurt Vitols, Ph.D. – Speaker at the 14th Conference on Sustainable Development, 4th to 5th October 2022

Sigurt Vitols, Ph.D. is an Associate Researcher at the European Trade Union Institute, Senior Researcher at the WZB Social Science Center Berlin (WZB) and Guest Lecturer at the Free University Berlin. His research focuses on sustainability, corporate social responsibility, worker involvement and corporate governance. He has provided policy advice on these issues to the European Trade Union Confederation, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the German Bundestag. For the past two years he has worked with EFRAG in developing European Sustainability Reporting Standards as co-author of the standard on "own workforce" and currently as Acting Vice-Chair of the Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group.
